Another trail-related LaSalle subdivision

The tranquil semi rural setting is “exactly the idea,” Amicone said.

The development is at the corner of Huron Church Line and Disputed Rd.

Phase 1 – 18 lots – is closest to the corner and Phase 2 will start to get underway this year as well.

“I think the next phase will be ready for launch this summer just because the first phase is sold out already,” Amicone said.

“And the subsequent ones will go just based on absorption.”

There are four phases and 80 lots altogether.

Amicone is delighted the properties have been snapped up given some of the lagging aspects of the local economy.

“It's fantastic actually,” he said.

“You get a real sense that people are starting to have confidence in the area again and the market."

Young families who want a groomed but semi-rural site close to city services and attractions are the people who are buying, often those moving up from their first homes.

Incorporating trails is a must for that part of LaSalle, given the proximity to the town’s greenway system.

“We’re connecting to the town trails so there will be trails throughout (the development) but we’re also going to connect to the town network of trails so effectively those trails will go on,” Amicone said.

And he suggested “in due course” they will connect to the new Windsor-Essex Parkway’s network of landscaped trails.

Amico, a design build company, with a large residential and commercial portfolio, also developed Bob-Lo Residences on Bob-Lo Island in Amherstburg.

The 25 year old company has built thousands of homes in Essex County.
